Mission Statement The WSRA mission is to provide leadership and education that fosters the expansion, diversity and economic vitality of recycling as part of sustainable resource management.
History Washington State Recycling Association (WSRA) was formed in 1976 to support the fledgling recycling industry and promote recycling in the state of Washington.
About WSRA WSRA members encompass a diverse group of City, County and State government staff; non-profit organizations; representatives from recycling and solid waste companies: compost processors; green builders; colleges and universities and private citizens. With over 700 members, WSRA continues to set the industry standard for encouraging sustainable legislative initiatives and awareness. We provide a forum for discussing recycling issues at a level that reflects the deep pool of membership expertise. Our nonprofit 501c(6) trade status sets WSRA apart from other nonprofits, allowing us to influence government policy. We encourage education and growth through newsletters, quarterly meetings, annual conferences and award presentations.
WSRA couldn’t be successful without the dedication and effort put forth by our Board Members. Please take the time to learn more about each one of them. “We appreciate the support that you have given us and look forward to serving you in the best way we can.” - Scott Campbell, Board President |
